I’m Syed, a data scientist and education research professional who has closely observed the merger of AI and education. Presently, base-model AI stands to harm students and the use of AI raises concerns for educators at all levels. Yet, I strongly believe AI can positively improve learning outcomes for students, and reach populations that are at risk world-wide. CReD offers an opportunity to build trust among the larger educator community while providing students a safer alternative to base AI.
